Year of Yes
It's kind of embarrassing when I think about it... In the Google search bar I actually typed, "How to get to know yourself" followed by, "How to figure out what you like."
Perhaps the most intriguing part, was that for 23 years, I wasn't even aware that I wasn't really living as Tracy. I was Chip's wife. But I was a damn good one, most of the time. The realization that I didn't know myself was nothing short of bizarre.
Last night I was chatting with a man who asked me what I like to do for fun... that shouldn't be a question that I dread being asked, but it truly is. I'd rather be asked what the meaning of life is, or my opinion on the economic status of our country. Just kidding. I hope that never happens.
2018 is my "year of yes." It's time. The only way to get to know myself is by saying yes to more opportunities. Here's to a fantastic, enlightening year that is full of learning and growth.
